Delete Your Account & Data

This page explains how to delete your Exam Setu account and what happens to your data when you do.

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (instant)

Open Exam Setu and go to the Profile tab.
Tap Delete Account.
Type DELETE to confirm.
Your account is deactivated and every device is logged out immediately.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you can't access the app, email us from the address used to create your account:

We verify ownership and process the request within 30 days.

What happens to your data

Data	Action
Login access (password, sessions on all devices)	Immediately revoked
Push-notification device tokens	Deleted immediately
Profile (name, email, phone)	Deactivated — no longer used to log in or shown publicly
Test attempts & results	Retained, disconnected from active login, for leaderboard/rank integrity
Purchase records	Retained as required for financial and tax record-keeping

Why some records are kept: Deleting your account revokes all access immediately. Attempt history and purchase records are kept in deactivated form — never linked to an active login — because other users' leaderboard ranks depend on historical attempts, and purchase records must be retained for billing and legal compliance. If you'd like these fully erased instead of deactivated, mention it in your deletion email and we'll action it within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.
